We're nearly ready: help us test SENguru
SENguru is almost ready for its first beta testers. If you're a parent or carer going through the EHC process, we'd love your honest feedback, and we're planning an online workshop in November.

SENguru is very nearly ready for its first beta testers, and we’d love your help. If you’re a parent or carer of a disabled or neurodivergent child, join the waitlist at senguru.co.uk to be one of the first to try it.
Why we built SENguru
We’re Chris and Valentina, two parents of disabled and neurodivergent children. We’ve both had to fight to get our children the support they need, and we know how much the Education, Health and Care (EHC) process asks of families: the letters, the deadlines, the evidence, the waiting, and the feeling that you need to be an expert in the law just to get your child the support they need.
So we set up SENguru as a community interest company (CIC). That means it’s asset-locked and run for the benefit of families, not for profit. Our core tools will always be free.
What SENguru does
SENguru brings together free, secure tools to help you through the EHC process:
- A correspondence tracker, so every letter, email and decision is in one place, with the dates that matter.
- A behaviour and communication log, to record what’s happening day to day and build the evidence you’ll need for assessments and reviews.
- A plain-English guide to the process, with deadline tracking so you know what should happen next and when.
- EHC plan draft review, to help you check a draft plan before you respond.
SENguru doesn’t give legal advice. For advice on your situation, we’ll always point you to experts such as IPSEA, SOS!SEN and Contact.
Why we need beta testers
We’ve built SENguru from our own experience, but every family’s journey is different. Before we open it up more widely, we want to hear from the people it’s for:
- What’s useful, and what isn’t?
- What’s confusing, missing or getting in the way?
- What would make the process feel a little more manageable for you?
Honest feedback, good and bad, is exactly what we need. You don’t need to be technical, and you don’t need to be an expert in SEND law. If you’re going through the EHC process, or have been through it, your experience counts.
Join our online workshop in November
We’re also planning an online workshop in November. It’s a chance to see SENguru in action, ask questions and tell us what you think. We’ll share the date and details soon, and everyone on the waitlist will hear first.
How to get involved
- Join the waitlist at senguru.co.uk. That’s how we’ll invite beta testers and share workshop details.
- Tell other parents and carers who might find SENguru useful. Word of mouth means a lot to a small, parent-led organisation.
- Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
The free version of SENguru is planned to open to all families in early 2027. Thank you for helping us make it something that really works for families.
